Abstract

Management of the Stalls "Yu Jum" interesting to researched. Approach to participation in adult education and andragogy (POD) applied in managing these stalls. The stages of the research process begins with the observation that continued with a study of the literature, journal search/past research results about the economic development efforts of families, and continued with the drafting of the frame of this research. For these activities the researcher performs a search through existing data sources in a field that is the owner of the stall "Yu Jum" and mothers who researchers meet at the time of observation continue to take place. This research was conducted in the village Suryowijayan Mantri- jeron District of Yogyakarta city. This type of research is descriptive, with the phenomenological approach that seeks to understand the meaning of events and kaitan-kaitannya against ordinary people in certain situations. While the subjects in this study is the owner of the stall "Yu Jum" and the mother Kampong Suryowijayan is involved in the management of the stall. The Data collection techniques interviews, FGD, observation, and documentation. The analysis of the data used is qualitative analysis. The results showed that the stall "Yu Jum" is the economic family in business management can be described as economic institutions families with members of the House of Ms. community around the stall. The mother has a container for developing its potential and develop entrepreneurial spirit together with the ultimate goal of economic income could increase his family so manifest independence and social well-being. In carrying out the entrepreneurial activities of course there is the learning process in it. Transfer of knowledge about the ins and outs of processing food ingredients that have value, determine the price up to make an agreement on the rules of management of the stalls and determining the form of the profit obtained. Management of the stalls "Yu Jum" is an alternative model of economic development of families that can be referred to as the people's economic institutions in which there are elements of community empowerment. The strategy of economic development of families that can be summed up in this research is to develop the required business system approach based on gender and insightful group by leveraging partnerships and mentoring should be coupled with ease of access to capital, market information and the development of a network (networking) so that an increase in coordination among sectors and are able to regenerate interest in entrepreneurship for society.
