Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are the mainstay of the local and national economy that have been proven to be reliable in various situations, so the government is obliged to provide access for coaching, empowerment and development of MSMEs. MSMEs that are well empowered have many positive impacts, namely the creation of jobs, reducing income disparities and reducing poverty rates. In the digital era like today, the ability of MSMEs to adapt and utilize technology is very important. The existence and success of MSMEs are greatly influenced by the government's capability in empowering MSMEs. The government has implemented many programs and activities to empower MSMEs with considerable budget support. To maximize the government's capabilities, it is necessary for MSME actors to evaluate the government's capabilities in empowering micro businesses. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. The data consists of primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques are carried out by indepth interviews, observation and documentation. The informant selection technique used in this study is purposive sampling, namely subjects are selected based on certain objectives and considerations. The results of the study showed that the majority of informants (84.62%) stated that the agency had been able to carry out its duties in empowering micro-enterprises. 15.38% of informants stated that the agency was less able to carry out its duties in empowering micro-enterprises. Informants amounting to 69.23% stated that the agency was able to respond to proposals and input quickly, while 30.77% stated that the agency was less quick in responding to proposals and input.
