Abstract

Indonesia Domestic Violence Act (DVA) Number 23 of 2004 represented the success of the women's movement in Indonesia to fighting for legal protection for women. Especially, protection in the household, a region that is considered a private domain where not everyone can know the conditions in the personal area. The riot in 1998 contributed to the study of the DVA which was considered to provide effective protection for women. The study and evaluation of DVA provide results that needed more work hard that the law could be used to comfort for women in the household.
